Stork Patch

Some things never change: leaves fall in autumn, storks bring us spring, and light always follows darkness. This patch preserves that very symbolism.

The motif originated on a late-nineteenth-century Art Nouveau carpet. Artists of the time sought to bring the fabric to life: soft patches of color, flowing bird silhouettes, and stylized grass created a sense of space, movement, and harmony. Each stork seemed ready to take flight from the fabric straight into your room.

Artisan Zenoviia Shulha gave the motif a contemporary life in Hlyniany. We transferred her carpet onto a patch, preserving the rhythm, colors, and character of the original while making it accessible for everyday wear.

To wear it is to keep a piece of spring close. In folk culture, the stork symbolizes home, a new beginning, and renewal. So may this patch remind you: life always returns, and so does the light.
