Chirping Patch, L
670 UAH
Description
We managed to find it with the help of Chernihiv designer Olha Razanova, who kindly lent us a book about the region’s folk arts from a local library. Today, the settlement of Dihtiari is part of Chernihiv region; it was once within Poltava Governorate and was a major center of carpet weaving with its own school and workshops. This once again confirms the importance of studying a carpet based not only on the origin of its design, but also on the history of the locality where it was found.
