Pip Ivan Patch
670 UAH
Description
Pip Ivan is one of the highest peaks of the Chornohora Range (2,028 m), known not only for its beautiful views but also for the unique White Elephant Observatory.
It was built in 1936 to observe weather and atmospheric phenomena, and for many years it remained one of Europe’s most extreme scientific stations because of the harsh conditions: temperatures here can fall to −30 °C, while winds can exceed 100 km/h.
Clouds touch the stone, and the wind sounds like the breath of the mountains.
The cliffs and rocky slopes are home to rare high-altitude plants and animals adapted to extreme conditions.
Every step here is a reminder of nature’s scale and the fragility of human existence.
