Let’s Speak Patch, S

How can the power and significance of language be visualized?

The Movyty community, which promotes the expansion of the Ukrainian-speaking environment, together with the YaVereta brand found its own way—through symbols in embroidery.

Language is what unites Ukrainians across different eras and continents. We wanted to create something that would become a symbol of this unity.

We turned to a twentieth-century Bukovynian rug depicting people side by side, holding hands.

This motif appears even in ancient ornaments and remains familiar to us today. It is about how, even in our diversity, we form a shared circle.

This is how the “Let’s Speak” charity patches and brooches came to be—a modernized pattern that embodies the power of language and culture.
