Kazka Patch, M
Description
The “Kazka” patch was created together with ZAG Gallery for the exhibition “HE: Taras Shevchenko. Artist”.
At its core is a motif from Shevchenko’s graphic work, in which Death appears not as a menacing symbol but as an interlocutor. It is a scene of inner dialogue, built on the contrast of light and shadow, presence and boundary. The artist works with allegory with restraint and precision, leaving room for interpretation — without moralizing, without literalness.
The “Kazka” patch transfers this tension into a material object. It is not an illustration of a plot, but a record of a state — a moment of concentration in which fragility and strength coexist side by side. The image feels contemporary because it speaks in a language that needs no explanation: about the presence of a boundary as part of human experience.
