Description
Carpet weaving has always changed under the influence of new trends, fashion, or technological progress. In the 19th–20th centuries, it was customary for weaving factories to invite artists to create carpet designs. To bring high-quality art closer to everyone, weaving factories in the 19th–20th centuries readily invited famous artists to develop designs, including Sviatoslav Hordynskyi and Fedir Krychevskyi.
Especially for Valentine’s Day 2023, we invited our friend Khrystyna Dmytruk to create a themed design inspired by the song “Hutsulka Ksenia.” This tango song became one of the world’s best-known Ukrainian songs of the 20th century. Its author, Yaroslav Barnych, also wrote the operetta “Hutsulka Ksenia.”
