Linen Placemats “Creators” — Set of 4

A set of four linen placemats from YaVereta’s limited-edition charity collection “Creators,” created for Ukraine’s Independence Day.

The placemats are embroidered with elements and motifs from works by Ukrainian artists who shaped Ukrainian art in different periods. We did not transfer the artworks onto textile literally—we isolated characteristic images and details and assembled them into a new composition.

The collection incorporates elements from works by Taras Shevchenko, Illia Repin, Oleksandr Murashko, Kazymyr Malevych, Alla Horska, Mariia Raievska-Ivanova, Mykhailo Boichuk, Heorhii Narbut, Davyd Burliuk, Tetiana Yablonska, Fedir Krychevskyi, Anatol Petrytskyi, Oleksandra Ekster, Mariia Prymachenko, Adalbert Erdeli, Oleksandr Arkhypenko, Viktor Zaretskyi, Kostiantyn Trutovskyi, Kateryna Bilokur, Oleksa Novakivskyi, Ivan Trush, Anatolii Kryvolap, Liubov Panchenko, Ivan Marchuk, and Tymofii Boichuk.

Art historian Olena Poliakova worked on selecting the works and images so that every embroidered element would have its own origin and connection to the history of Ukrainian art.

The four placemats were created for setting the table—a place where we gather, talk about what matters, and create our own memories. In this way, cultural heritage becomes not only something we preserve, but something we live with every day and pass on.

The set includes 4 linen placemats.
