320 UAH
Description
A fragment from a postcard by Mykhailo Bilas. The Ukrainian Christmas star has pre-Christian roots. In ancient beliefs, the star symbolized the sun, the renewal of life, and the victory of light over darkness — a meaning especially natural around the winter solstice. With the arrival of Christianity, these meanings did not disappear but became organically intertwined with the biblical story of Christmas.
Created in collaboration with the Mykhailo Bilas Art Museum, based on the pastel “Koliandyky” (2007).
